P5 Coastal Workshop
We were so proud of the efforts from P5 who participated in a Coastal Schools Workshop as part of the Big Spring Clean.
Zara, a field officer from Eco-schools, initially did an interactive 'Tackling Plastic Workshop' and worked with the children to teach them how to carry out an OSPAR Marine Litter Survey at the beach. The children then went to the beach or coastline to carry out the litter audit and submitted their results.
As you can see from the photos below, there was a lot of tidying up to do! We were amazed to see that the children were able to collect an unbelievable 7 bags of litter! They found a range of items including an old mobile phone, plastic drums and even a pillow!
