At one of our meetings, the Eco-Council conducted an audit of all of the bins around school. This included the recycling bins, waste bins and food caddies.  We found that there were a number of items that kept appearing in the wrong bins as shown below.

In one of our meetings, the Eco-Council made posters to put up around school showing staff and pupils which items can be recycled and which can not.

Eco-Council in Action!

One of the areas that the Eco-Council identified that needed much improvement in recycling was the hall at lunchtimes.  The Eco-council set up an area to wash recyclable items and monitored the bins to ensure that items were put in the correct bins.
